Engineering the Quantum Future
The Petta Group at UCLA explores the physics and engineering of quantum systems to advance the development of scalable quantum processors. Our research focuses on semiconductor spin qubits, using single electron spins trapped in high-purity silicon to investigate new approaches to quantum information processing. Through experimental advances in quantum dot devices, coherent spin control, and hybrid quantum systems, we work to understand and harness the properties of individual quantum particles. Our work aims to address fundamental challenges in quantum technology and help establish the physical foundations for next-generation quantum computing.
